A St. George couple's wedding celebration will be spotlighted on UtahBrides.com television show Sunday night on KJZZ channel 14 at 10 p.m.

UtahBrides.com, the television show, will be highlighting a St. George wedding and the professionals hired to provide services on their Sunday evening program.

The show, which airs at 10 p.m. every Sunday on KJZZ 14, is designed to not only entertain, but help a bride plan her wedding.

Hosted by actress, Heather Beers (star of the LDS movie "Charly"), each episode is filmed from a different location and includes love stories, planning tips, unique ideas, bloopers and tips from the street.

The show blends reality TV and Martha Stewart-style production. The producers receive e-mails from brides stating what they would like to see on the show. Then efforts are made to address their e-mails through the show.

Working closely with St. George wedding consultant, Debbie Peysar, who owns Vintage Celebrations located at the Main Street Theatre and Ballroom in St. George, UtahBrides.com hopes to bring exposure to wedding service providers in the St. George area.

Owners and producers, Robin Saville and Darren Schmitt, who themselves have worked in the wedding industry as videographers for nearly 14 years, wanted to expand their productions and decided to do a television show about what they know best -- weddings.

Saville and Schmitt hope that UtahBrides.com will not only entertain and educate brides planning a wedding, but will also increase the quality of the wedding providers she hires. It is also hoped the bride and her mother will have a greater appreciation for the professionals they hire.

Another goal is to help future brides and grooms discuss plans and budgets with family for their wedding. Many weddings in the state are often planned in three months or less which leaves little time and money to prepare for the wedding. This likely is the reason why weddings in Utah, and more so in St. George, are significantly less than the national average of $15,000-$25,000.

Peysar says that many St. George weddings are between $3,000-$5,000. UtahBrides.com hopes to encourage families to plan and budget for what is, for many, the biggest day of their life. However, UtahBrides.com believes that trends in Utah are changing as brides are planning often before they have met the person they will marry. Many couples are also interested in unique weddings and ideas and want to do something different for their wedding.

UtahBrides.com is excited to be working with brides and wedding professionals in the St.George area. 'What we have discovered is that whether or not someone is planning a wedding, many people like to watch a show about weddings, especially when they recognize the different locations and possibly even the people highlighted in the show," said Saville.
